NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jake Tower scored 23 points, including nine in a pivotal third quarter, as the McCann Tech boys basketball team earned a 77-60 come-from-behind victory over Franklin Tech on Wednesday night.
The win was McCann’s second straight and 10th of the season, punching the Hornets’ ticket for the Western Mass tournament.
Franklin Tech jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and held a three-point lead at half-time, but Tower scored nine and Billy Gallipeau hit two 3-pointers to help the home team take a nine-point lead into the fourth quarter.
Ethan Sheldon scored 12 of his 16 points in the fourth, when Steven LeMire scored eight of his 13.
McCann Tech (10-2) is off until next Tuesday when it hosts Gateway.
