PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Hayden Bird scored 37 points Thursday to lead the Drury boys basketball team to an 82-49 win over St. Joseph in the Pittsfield Hoop Club Holiday Classic at the Boys & Girls Club.
Bird scored 14 points in a 20-point second quarter that allowed the Blue Devils to erase an early deficit and take a 34-25 lead into the locker room.
Drury really poured it on in the third, when Connor Meehan hit three 3-pointers on his way to a 14-point night, and Drury scored 31 points to up 65-37.
Reece Racette added 10 points for the Blue Devils (5-0), who posted their highest point total of the season.
Elton Wilkin scored 20, and Kymoni Hartley added seven for the Crusaders (1-4), who host Granby on Friday night.
Drury is off until Tuesday, when they host Pioneer.
