CHESHIRE, Mass. - Deonte Sandifer, Brett Murphy and Izaiya Mestre combined for 60 points, including 18 in a pivotal fourth quarter, to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 74-55 win over Hoosac Valley on Friday night.
Taconic (16-2) led 53-48 going into the fourth quarter but outscored the Hurricanes by a margin of 21-7 in the last eight minutes to win going away.
Mestre scored a game-high 21 points, and Sandifer added 19. Brett Murphy scored 20, and Treyvon Ringgold added 10 for Taconic, which won its seventh straight.
For Hoosac Valley, Jameson Coughlan scored 13, and Matt Koperniak had 11.
Hoosac (11-8) finishes the regular season at Marblehead on Tuesday.
Taconic travels to Mount Greylock on Monday before coming home for its senior night game against Drury on Wednesday.
