LONGMEADOW, Mass. – For the second straight game, the Pittsfield softball team came to hit.

The Generals had 21 hits, including four home runs, in a 21-2, five-inning win over Longmeadow on Wednesday.

In its last two games, the Generals have scored a combined 44 runs.

On Wednesday, Jordynn Bazinet homered twice, and Maddy Creamer and Mia Alfonso also hit round-trippers.

“Maddy Creamer has really stepped into her role and has been on fire the past few games, especially today, going 4-for-5,” Pittsfield coach Jim Clary said.

“Our defense made the plays today, and the whole lineup was seeing the ball very well.”

Pittsfield got hits from nine different players. Defensively, it committed just two errors behind Bazinet, who struck out three in five innings of work.

Pittsfield (5-4) hosts Taconic on Friday.
