Westfield Softball Wins Another Barn-Burner Against Pittsfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Emma Lapoint went 2-for-4 with a home run, and the Westfield softball team rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 9-8 win over Pittsfield on Tuesday.

 

Navaeh Lopez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Generals in a rematch of last spring's Western Massachusettss Division 1 title game, won 14-10 by the Bombers.

 

Jordynn Bazinet drove in three runs and went 4-1/3 innings in the circle for Pittsfield. She struck out four and walked two before Julia Johansen took over.

 

Pittsfield (1-1) goes to Agawam on Thursday.
