Pittsfield High Seeking Softball Coach

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Pittsfield High School is seeking applicants for the position of varsity softball coach for the spring 2022 season.

 

The successful candidate for this paid position will be responsible for providing leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes. Ability to teach fundamental softball techniques, playing rules, and game strategies is required. 

 

Excellent communications skills, ability to work effectively with students, and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school are expected.  

 

Season runs from late March through early June.  

 

Application deadline is Feb. 11.

 

Additional responsibilities of the position include conducting well-organized practices, coordinating coaching staff, overseeing booster club initiatives, managing equipment inventory, and completing pre-season administrative tasks in a timely manner. Candidate must also understand MIAA rules, and complete MIAA required coaching workshops.

 

Previous coaching and\or playing experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
