Lyon Leads Pittsfield Softball to Victory

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Tess Lyon went 3-for-4 with two triples and three runs batted in Thursday to lead the Pittsfield softball team to a 14-1 win over Drury.

 

Madison Tobin went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Brittney Perkett and Jordan Lummus each went 2-for-3 in a 17-hit Pittsfield attack.

 

Giulianna Pierce struck out three and walked one while allowing two hits in a game shortened to six innings.

 

Kendra Gallagher drove in McKenna Pevey for Drury’s run. Pevey and Tess Zoito accounted for Drury’s two hits.

 

The Blue Devils (4-11) host Brattleboro, Vt., on Friday.

 

Pittsfield (14-2) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
