Pierce Pitches No-Hitter in Five-Inning Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield softball team scored 12 first-inning runs en route to a 15-0 win over Lenox on Thursday.

Hayley Tobin went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Giuliana Pierce went 2-for-4 with a triple.

Pierce also went the distance in the circle, not allowing a hit and walking seven in a game shortened to five innings.

Pittsfield (9-1) hosts Westfield on Saturday.

Lenox (1-9) hosts Wahconah on Tuesday.
