Perkett, Pierce Power Pittsfield Past Hoosac

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Britney Perkett went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored three runs to help lift the Pittsfield softball team to a 9-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.

Erin Murphy went 1-for-3 with a walk and drove in two runs, and Giulliana Pierce struck out seven in the victory.

Kali Puppolo went 2-for-3 at the plate and struck out six for Hoosac Valley, which also got a 2-for-3 performace from Sienna Witherall.

The Hurricanes (0-2) host Mount Greylock on Saturday.

Pittsfield (3-1) travels to Bennington, Vt.’s, Mount Anthony on Thursday.
