Pittsfield Knocks Off Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Julia Murphy struck out seven, and Haley Tobin doubled in two runs to lead the Pittsfield softball team to a 4-0 win over Mount Everett on Wednesday afternoon.

 

Murphy went the distance on the mound, allowing just three hits, to win a highly anticipated showdown with Eagles ace Chandler DeGrenier.

 

Allie Hunt and Bella Aiken each drove in a run for the Generals, who improved to 11-0 this year.

 

Pittsfield will look to stay unbeaten on Thursday against Lee.

 

Mount Everett (8-1) travels to Wahconah on Thursday.
