Pittsfield Softball Tops Monument Mountain

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield High softball team defeated Monument Mountain Thursday afternoon, 20-0, at Pittsfield High School.
The Generals got things rolling right in the first inning brining in six runs. They came out in the second and scored five and scored their last nine in the third inning.
Haley Tobin, Emily Koldys, Libby White, and Bella Aitken scored three runs each. Julia Murphy, Allie Hunt, and Erin Murphy each scored two, and Alex Desrochers and Britt Perkett had one.
Julia Murphy pitched all five innings for the Generals, throwing eight strikeouts.
The Generals now 3-0 will travel to Lenox Friday afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. start. Monument Mountain (1-3) hosts Lee on Tuesday.
