Lopez Homers Twice for Generals in Road Win

AGAWAM, Mass. – Neveah Lopez homered twice on Tuesday to lead the Pittsfield softball team in a 9-1 win at Agawam.

 

Lopez also doubled twice and finished the day 4-for-4 with five runs batted in – accounting for half of Pittsfield’s hits.

 

Amanda Pou and Isabella MacDonald each went 2-for-4 with a double, and Kamryn Renata and Mia Arpante each doubledfor the Generals, who went on top, 6-0, in the top of the fourth inning and never looked back.

 

Pou held Agawam’s offense at bay, striking out seven, walking two and scattering eight hits in a complete-game win.

 

The Generals (12-2) host Westfield on Friday.
