Dupont Pitches Monument Mountain Past Lee

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Meg Dupont struck out eight Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain softball team to an 8-0 win over Lee.

 

Jade Abderhalden went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs to lead the Spartans’ offense.

 

Alex Tenney was 2-for-3 with a double, and Bella Viola drove in three runs.

 

Two days after Lee pitcher Bri Lynch struck out 20 in a 7-2 loss, the Wildcats Thursday were credited with 16 hits without scoring a run.

 

Taryn Bannon and Karalynn Hopkins each had three hits.

 

Bannon threw two innings, striking out three. Lynch struck out 11 Spartans in four innings.

 

Lee (1-4) goes to Franklin Tech on Friday.

 

Monument Mountain (6-2) is at Putnam Voc on Monday.
