Newberry Homers as Mount Greylock Softball Tops Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Emma Newberry went 4-for-5 with three doubles, a home run and six RBIs Monday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to an 18-3 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Brodi Rosier went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Kami Sweet went 3-for-5 at the plate.

 

Sweet also earned the win in the circle, striking out four in the five-inning win.

 

Avery Raifstanger doubled, and Alex Tenney went 1-for-2 and scored a run for the Spartans.

 

Monument Mountain (8-3) hosts Smith Vocational on Wednesday.

 

Mount Greylock (7-4) goes to Turners Falls on Tuesday.
