Green RBI Single Lifts Lenox Softball Past Spartans

LENOX, Mass. -- Aimee Green singled to center field with two out in the bottom of the fifth to drive in a pair of runs and lift the Lenox softball team to a 3-1 win over Monument Mountain on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Anna Lynch scored the game’s first run on a passed ball during Green’s at-bat after reaching on a walk and moving up on walk and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Kasey Vallee.

 

Green’s single brought home Maddie Barenski and Claire Lynch.

 

Anna Lynch earned the win in the circle, striking out 10. Green and Morgan Levesque each went 2-for-3.

 

Rhianna Louw had an RBI double and went the distance in the circle for Monument Mountain.

 

Lenox (4-3) goes to the Doyle Complex in Pittsfield to play Taconic on Thursday.

 

Monument Mountain hosts Drury on Thursday.
