Newberry, Mounties Blast Mahar

ORANGE, Mass. – Emma Newberry went 6-for-7 with a home run, a pair of doubles and six runs batted in Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 39-1 win over Mahar.

 

Madi Barber went 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs, and the Mounties collected nine doubles among 25 hits.

 

Kami Sweet and Audrianna Pelkey each hit a pair of doubles. Pelkey drove in five runs.

 

Barber and Kayleigh Jaros split time in the circle, striking out seven between them in the five-inning win.

 

Mount Greylock (3-1) goes to Mohawk Trail on Friday.
