Franklin Tech Blanks Mount Greylock in Regional Semis
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Lauren Ross scattered four hits Thursday to lead the Franklin Tech softball team to a 6-0 win over Mount Greylock in the Western Massachusetts Class C semi-finals.
Lillian Ross and Cordelia Guerin each had a pair of hits in a 10-hit Eagle attack.
A.J. Pelkey went 2-for-3, and Kami Sweet and Madi Barber each had a hit for the Mounties.
In the circle, Sweet struck out three and allowed just two earned runs in a complete-game effort.
Mount Greylock (12-8) waits to learn where and when it will begin play in next week’s state tournament.
