Hickey, Wahconah Outslug Frontier

DALTON, Mass. – Taylar Hickey Sunday went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double and three RBIs to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 12-10 win over Frontier at Pine Grove Park.

 

"Good win today," Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. "After a tough loss [Saturday], the kids responded well to the game today."

 

Hickey also split time with Casey Wilson in the circle, throwing three innings in relief. The pair combined to strike out six and allow nine earned runs in the win.

 

Wilson helped their cause offensively by going 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBIs.

 

Emma Belcher doubled twice in a 3-for-5 afternoon.

 

Louis Carkuff went 2-for-3 with a double, and Lexi Choquette was 3-for-4 in a 20-hit Wahconah attack.

 

Wahconah (7-7) goes to Westfield on Wednesday.
