Wahconah Softball Blanks Mohawk Trail

BUCKLAND, Mass. – Elena Iovieno went 2-for-3 with a triple and drove in four runs on Tuesday to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 13-0, five-inning win over Mohawk Trail.

 

Dani Barry recorded three hits, and Taylar Hickey went 2-for-3 at the plate.

 

Hickey also struck out 10 and allowed just one hit and three walks in the complete-game shutout.

 

“It was a very good team win,” Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. “The kids swung the bats well and Taylar was very effective in the circle.”

 

Wahconah (3-1) hosts Pioneer Valley on Friday.
