Puppolo Propels Hoosac Valley Softball Past Lee

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Maddi Puppolo went 2-for-4 with a triple and struck out eight batters Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 12-0, five-inning win over Lee.

 

Puppolo surrendered just three hits and walked none to get the complete-game win in the circle.

 

Kelsey Wohrle went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, and Logan Stansfield was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Rylie Bishop went 3-for-3 in a 19-hit Hurricanes attack.

 

Ariana Hall, Katelyn Clark and Olivia Keiderling each had a hit for the Wildcats. Clark took the loss in the circle after not giving up a walk in four innings of work.

 

Lee (2-5) goes to Putnam on Thursday.

 

Hoosac Valley (5-2) hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.
