Hoosac Valley Softball Edges Mount Everett

ADAMS, Mass. -- Madi Puppolo struck out six and scored a key run in a three-run fifth inning Thursday to help the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 4-3 win over Mount Everett.

 

Syrah Bradley, Kelsey Worhle, Logan Stansfield, Katie Braman and Lauren Foucher each had a hit for the Hurricanes.

 

Marion Devoti doubled and scored a run for the for the Eagles, who got two hits from Madison Ullrich in an nine-hit attack.

 

Mount Everett scored twice in the top of the seventh but could not get the tying run across.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-0) goes to Drury on Friday.

 

Mount Everett (1-1) is at Lenox on Monday.
