Hoosac Valley Drops Monument Mountain
ADAMS, Mass. – Izabela Tart went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, and the Hoosac Valley softball team pounded out 14 hits in a 12-5 win over Monument Mountain on Thursday.
Tart drove in three runs for the Hurricanes, who took control with a five-run second inning to take a 9-4 lead.
Ella Bissaillon, Hanna Lord and Rachael Wnuk each had three hits for Hoosac Valley.
Gracelyn Wright earned the win in the circle, striking out seven and allowing just two earned runs.
Lexi Carpenter went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead Monument Mountain.
The Spartans (2-1) host Westfield Tech on Friday.
Hoosac Valley (3-0) hosts Chicopee on Friday.
