Wright, Hurricanes Hammer Central

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Gracelyn Wright struck out seven in the circle and hit a solo home run at the plate Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 15-3 win over Springfield Central.

 

The Hurricanes scored two in the bottom of the sixth to end the game via the mercy rule.

 

Wright hit an RBI groundout, and with two out, Izabela Tart singled to left to drive in Hannah Lord to end the game.

 

Hannah Lord went 4-for-5, and Trinity Brackett was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

 

Wright scattered five hits to earn the complete-game win.

 

Hoosac Valley (7-11) waits to learn its next opponent.
