Agawam Softball Tops Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Lauren Champigny went 3-for-5 with a home run and a double Friday to lead the Agawam softball team to a 12-8 win over Taconic.

 

The Thunder trailed, 12-2, going to the bottom of the seventh and mounted a six-run rally that started with a double by Maddie Harrington. 

 

Brenna McNeice, Rylee Paronto, Julia Pierce, and Ella Stodden each hit a single and Leena Schettini drove in three runs in the rally before Agawam pitcher Kylie Ciracosta was able to strand a pair of runners.

 

Taconic (6-5) goes to Southwick on Tuesday.
