Pierce Leads Taconic to Win in Opener

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Julia Pierce went 3-for-4 with a home run and a triple Monday to lead the Taconic softball team to a 16-4 win over Mohawk Trail.

 

Maddie Harrington finished 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and five runs batted in in a 13-hit Taconic attack.

 

Rylee Paronto struck out seven and allowed four hits in a complete-game, five-inning effort in the circle for Taconic.

 

The Thunder (1-0) goes to Pioneer Valley on Wednesday.
