Taconic's Goddard Hurls Perfect Game

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Taconic’s Cheyann Goddard Tuesday threw a perfect game in a 19-0, five-inning win over Pioneer Valley Regional.

 

Goddard struck out 10 hitters, and the Thunder played perfect defense behind her, not allowing a runner on base as Taconic snapped a three-game skid.

 

Goddard helped her cause with a 1-for-1 day at the plate, four walks and seven stolen bases. She crossed home plate four times in the mercy-rule win.

 

Isabelle Hadsell went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, and Toni Alhoussi was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs in an eight-hit attack for the Thunder.

 

Taconic (5-9) goes to Frontier on Wednesday.
