Smith Academy Softball Outslugs Fortini, McCann Tech

HATFIELD, Mass. -- Despite a monster day at the plate from McCann Tech’s Sarah Fortini, the Smith Academy softball team Thursday earned a 12-7 win over the Hornets.

 

Fortini went 3-for-4 with a home run and a triple for McCann.

 

Haley Tatro went 2-for-2 at the plate, and Alyse Koloc was 2-for-4 with a double in the loss.

 

Tatro also struck out four in the circle.

 

Keene Jeffress went 3-for-4 with three doubles to lead the Smith Academy.

 

McCann Tech goes to Sabis on Saturday.
