Quinones Leads McCann Offense in Season Opener

LEE, Mass. -- Ayrian Quinones went 5-for-5 with three triples and drove in four runs Thursday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 12-3 win over Lee in the season-opener for both teams.

 

Hailey Miller went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, and Caitlin Nicol was 3-for-3 at the plate. Aubrey Tetlow joined a 17-hit attack for the Hornets with two hits and two RBIs.

 

Megan Goyette struck out seven in the circle and helped her cause with a pair of hits.

 

Lee’s Olivia Kiederling and Kylie Joyce each had two hits, and Ariana Hall drove in a run for the Wildcats.

 

Lee (0-1) goes to Mount Everett on Tuesday.

 

McCann Tech (0-1) goes to Hopkins Academy on Tuesday.
