Malloy Walkoff Single Lifts McCann Tech Softball

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Michaela Malloy went 4-for-5 with a double and ended the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth as the McCann Tech softball team defeated Granby, 6-5, on Friday.

 

Meghan Goyette struck out 11 and scattered six hits.

 

“I can't say enough about my catcher, Alanza Quinones, and Meg Goyette catching and pitching five days in a row,” McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said after the Hornets finished the week 4-1 and improved their record this spring to 8-5.

 

Amanda Rancourt went 3-for-3 with a double and a game-tying RBI in the bottom of the seventh.

 

McCann Tech gets two days off before hosting Sabis on Monday.
