Lynch Game-Winning Hit Completes Lee Comeback Win

LEE, Mass. – Bri Lynch hit a one-out single in the bottom of the sixth to break a 4-4 tie and send the Lee softball team on to a 5-4 win over Mount Everett on Saturday.
 
The win gave Lee its 10th win of the season to sew up a berth in the state tournament.
 
Lynch’s second hit of the day brought home Zoe Ozawa, who started the inning with a leadoff triple to center field.
 
Karalynn Hopkins and Lily Brancato led Lee’s offense with three hits apiece as the Wildcats fought back from a 4-0 deficit midway through the first inning.
 
Lynch won the game in the circle with six innings of four-hit relief. She struck out 12 and walked one.
 
Julia Devoti led Mount Everett with a 2-for-3 day at the plate.
 
The Eagles (3-6) go to Ludlow on Monday.
 
Lee (10-2) hosts Mount Greylock on Monday.
