Jones, Pesce Lead Mount Greylock Girls Lax on Road

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Carolyn Jones and Gianna Pesce each had a hat trick Monday to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to a 13-1 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Zoe Armet and Sarah Polumbo each scored twice, and Christy Rech made nine saves.

 

Ashlyn Lesure scored a goal, and Emily Godfrey stopped 20 shots for Hoosac Valley.

 

“Overall, we continue to improve every game and, most importantly, we met every game goal we had today,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “Definitely a moral victory for our very young team. In addition, Emily Godfrey was stellar in goal for us today.”

 

The Hurricanes (1-3) host Lee on Thursday.

 

Mount Greylock (4-0) goes to Lee on Monday.
