“We had them close and traded goals most of the first half, though MAU went on a run with three minutes left in the half to end the half, 11-6,” Mount Greylock coach Lyndsey von Holtz said. MAU capitalized on some Mount Greylock turnovers and we never got back in it.
“The MAU defense did a great job of keeping us out of the 8-meter and forcing the turnovers in the second half.”
Caroline Flynn scored five goals, and Emma Polumbo had four for Mount Greylock (9-5), which hosts Granby on Wednesday.
