Balanced Attack Lifts Wahconah to Second Win

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Aliyah Southard had a hat trick, and eight different players scored for Wahconah Friday in a 13-3 win over McCann Tech.

 

Mia Thomas and Olivia Roberts scored two goals apiece, and 11 Wahconah players had at least one point in its second win in a row.

 

“It was nice to see the girls looking for the pass to the cutters and being able to finish,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said.

 

Phalyn Renderer and Mya Lee split time in Wahconah’s goal, combining to make 10 saves.

 

Taylor Ziemba had a hat trick for McCann Tech (0-13), which hosts Hampshire regional on Monday.

 

Wahconah (2-15) finishes the regular season on Sunday afternoon at home against Granby.
