Wahconah Girls Lax Falls to Northampton

DALTON, Mass. – Teagan McDonald scored six goals Thursday to lead the Northampton girls lacrosse team to a 15-3 win over Wahconah.

 

The Blue Devils got seven saves from Ainsley Pawson and got off to a fast start under the lights at Wahocnah.

 

“We started off slow and gave up eight goals in the first quarter,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We spoke about what we needed to adjust and the girls played a fantastic game. They kept working the whole game. Our transition continues to improve which is giving us more offensive opportunities.”

 

Olivia Roberts scored twice, and Mia Thomas had a goal and an assist for Wahconah.

 

Phalyn Renderer stopped nine shots in the loss.

 

Wahconah (0-8) goes to Lee on Monday.
