Bowlby, Cote Lead Wahconah Girls Lax Past Mount Anthony

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Hannah Bowlby and Jilly Cote each scored four goals Monday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to the program’s first win over Mount Anthony Union, a 12-7 triumph.

 

“From start to finish the girls played well,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “They did a nice job on offense and defense which was key for us. Their patience in this game led to some nice goals where in other games we would rush the passes and turn over the ball.”

 

Gabby Frydel and Chloe Accardi each scored twice in the win.

 

Sydney Smith stopped nine shots to earn the win between the pipes.

 

Wahconah (4-1-1) hosts Pittsfield on Wednesday.
