Brattleboro, Vt., Edges Wahconah Girls Lacrosse

DALTON, Mass. -- Tobin Lonergan scored six goals Thursday to lead the Brattleboro, Vt., girls lacrosse team to a 17-15 win over Wahconah.

 

“We came out flat and gave up two quick goals in 25 seconds,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Today's game was an offensive game for sure with the amount of goals scored. It was nice to see our offensive game put up a lot of goals.”

 

Jillian Cote scored five goals and assisted on another. Hannah Bowlby had a hat trick, and Olivia Hines, Bri Kasala and Hannah Ronayne scored two goals apiece.

 

Sydney Smith stopped six shots in goal for Wahconah (4-4), which hosts Chicopee Comp on Saturday.
