Lesure, Meczywor Lead Hoosac Valley Girls Lax in Road Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure and Emma Meczywor each scored four goals and recorded five assists on Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 12-4 win over Springfield Central.

 

Jacinta Felix had a hat trick, and Kennedy Whitely stopped four shots for the Hurricanes to earn the win in goal.

 

“We struggled a bit getting our shot placement more accurate, but once we got in a rhythm and moved the ball quicker we found good looks,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “Maryn Capiello, Emma Akroman, Abby Percy and Mallory Mazzeo did a nice job defensively tonight in transition.”

 

The Hurricanes (3-0) go to Pope Francis on Thursday.
