Meczywor Milestone Highlights Hurricane Win

MONSON, Mass. – Emma Meczywor had a hat trick and five assists and registered her 200th career point on her 16th birthday Wednesday as the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team beat Monson, 19-6.

 

Jacinta Felix also had a hat trick and set up a goal on the way to her 100th career point.

 

Lauren Daveis scored eight goals, and Ashlyn Lesure scored three as the Hurricanes won their third straight.

 

“Great clean game and team win where everyone contributed,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West siad. “Eighth-grader Eva Akroman stepped in defensively and played exceptionally.”

 

Kennedy Whitley stopped 10 shots to earn the win in goal.

 

Hoosac Valley (11-3) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
