Hoosac Valley Girls Lax Tested in Regular Season Finale

CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Kathleen Brooks had a hat trick Thursday to lead the Chicopee Comp girls lacrosse team to a 9-8 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

“It was a back-and-forth game,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “Unfortunately, we were a bit sloppy today, and they did a better job of maintaining possession the final three minutes. Good lesson for us going into postseason.”

 

Alie Mendel scored five goals and set up another pair. Brooke DiGennaro scored twice, and Claudia Bresett had a goal and two assists.

 

Abi Disbrow made six saves in the Hoosac Valley goal.

 

The Hurricanes (13-3) learn June 1 when and where they will begin play in the Central/Western Massachusetts tournament.
