Hoosac Valley Girls Rally Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Alie Mendel, Claudia Bresett and Aubrey Rumbolt scored goals back-to-back-to-back in the final eight minutes to erase a one-goal deficit and give the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team a 15-13 lead, and the Hurricanes held on for a 15-14 win over Pittsfield on Thursday afternoon. 

 

Mendel finished with a game-high seven goals and one assist, and Bresset scored four times for the Hurricanes.

 

Claire Sheedy scored four, and Lauren Curry and Jacey Salvie each had a hat trick for Pittsfield (2-10), which hosts Monson on Saturday.

 

Hoosac Valley hosts Wahconah on Saturday.
