Quinto Leads Pittsfield Boys Lax Past McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Kevin Quinto scored six goals, and Jacob Brazeau scored five to lead the Pittsfield boys lacrosse team to a 14-5 win over McCann Tech on Friday.

 

McCann Tech coach Paul Lange said the Generals were able to pull away in the fourth quarter with six goals, cashing in on a number of fast-break opportunities.

 

“Overall, it was a strong effort from our team today,” Lange said. :They gave 110 percent and worked hard. We were missing one of our key guys on offense, which hurts, but that's not to take anything away from PHS.”

 

Ethan Beach made 11 saves to earn the win for Pittsfield.

 

McCann got 18 saves from Josh Pettit and three goals from Jason Delisle.

 

McCann Tech (4-10) goes to Granby on Monday.

 

Pittsfield (4-9) looks for its third straight win on Monday when it hosts Wahconah.
