Leary, Ortega Lead Pittsfield Boys to Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield boys lacrosse team defeated Monument Mountain Thursday afternoon, 13-2.

 

Brendan Leary and Dante Ortega led the Generals with three goals each. Leary had three assists and Ortega recorded one.

 

Pittsfield lead at half 6-0, Monument scored one in the third and one in the fourth from Mike Basile and John Bianco.

 

Jonah Swoates stopped 19 shots in the Monument goal.

 

Nikolai Pixley made nine saves for Pittsfield (4-5), which faces Taconic on Saturday morning.

 

Monument (3-6) hosts Lee on Friday.
