Cummings' Seven Goals Lift Mount Greylock in Opener

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Taylor Cummings scored seven goals Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team to a 19-5 win over Pittsfield on MCLA’s Shewcraft Field.

 

Michael Wellspeak scored four times and set up six more goals.

 

Mac Waynick scored six goals and made an assist.

 

Matt Wick and Jacob Brazeau each scored twice for the Generals, who got 11 saves from Hayden Plouffe.

 

Cole Filson stopped four shots for Mount Greylock (1-0), which hosts Fairfield Ludlowe on Saturday afternoon.

 

Pittsfield (0-2) goes to Maple Hill on Saturday.
