Wachonah Boys Lax Falls at Norwell

NORWELL, Mass. -- For the second time in four years, the Norwell boys lacrosse team ended Wahconah's time in state tournament.
 
The second-seeded Clippers beat Wahconah, 11-3, on Saturday evening in the quarter-finals of the Division 4 State Tournament.
 
Sawyer Padelford, Jacob Thomas and Rylan Padelford each scored a goal, and Bryce Smith made 17 saves in the loss.
 
Tenth-seeded Wahconah ends the season with a record of (16-5) and a Western Massachusetts title.
 
Norwell moves on to play Weymouth on Tuesday in the state semi-finals.
 
in 2021, the last year of the old sectional format for the state tournament, Wahconah won a Central/Western Mass sectional title on the way to dropping an 18-9 decision to South Sectional champion Norwell.
