Wahconah Boys Lax Falls in Opener

WILBRAHAM, Mass. -- The Minnechaug boys lacrosse team Thursday took a 9-3 lead into half-time and went on to an 18-9 win over Wahconah in the season opener for both squads.

 

Rylan Padelford scored five goals to lead Wahconah, which got a goal apiece from Jonathan Howard, Sawyer Padelford, Noah Poirier and Jacob Thomas.

 

Wahconah (0-1) is off until Friday when it hosts South Hadley.
