Washburn, Girard Lead Wahconah Boys Past Chicopee Comp
DALTON, Mass. -- Connor Washburn scored six goals, and Jeremy Girard had six assists Saturday to lead the Wahconah boys lacrosse team to a 15-2 win over Chicopee Comp.
“I'm very happy with our offensive production today,” Wahconah coach Zach Sondrini said. “We just came off a tough loss and were able to rebound. Jeremy Girard and Conner Washburn had a great connect today. They were very patient and were able to pick apart Comps zone defense.”
Dart Jaggi scored four times, and Wyatt Schleicher had a hat trick. Girard scored twice to go with his six assists.
Vinny Orlandi made nine saves in the first half to send Wahconah into the break with an 11-0 lead. Dom Orlandi had three saves in the second half.
Wahconah (12-4) finishes the regular season this week at home against Hoosac Valley on Monday and at Stratton, Vt., on Tuesday.
