Eugene Hat Trick Helps Hoosac Boys Lax Reach Tourney

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Vance Eugene scored three goals and set up two more to help the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team defeat Taconic, 13-1, and clinch a spot in the Western Mass tournament on Thursday afternoon.

 

Brendon Ellsworth scored a pair and earned three assists, and Cam Alibozek made three saves for the Hurricanes (8-6).

 

Hoosac takes a two-game winning streak into Monday’s game against St. Mary’s of Westfield.

 

Taconic (2-13) goes to McCann Tech on Friday.
