Wahconah Lacrosse Finishes Regular Season With a Win
DALTON, Mass. - The Wahconah boy's lacrosse team earned its 10th win of the season Thursday evening in a 14-3 victory over Hoosac Valley at Wahconah Regional High School.
Wahconah got off to a quick start right in the first quarter, going ahead 6-0; it added two more in the second quarter to hold an 8-0 lead at halftime.
Hoosac was able to add one to the board in the third; as did Wahconah putting the score at 9-1 going into the final 12 minutes.
Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, they only found the back of the net twice in those final 12 minutes and Wahconah added five more for the victory.
Quinn Ceasar led the Warriors with four goals and Nick Clayton had three.
Hoosac goalie Cam Alibozek totaled 15 saves for the Hurricanes. Khalil Kareh, Xavier Alvarez, and Nick Waterman each scored.
Hoosac Valley finished the season with a record of 5-9. Wahconah is 10-7 going into next week's Central/Western Mass Tournament. The seedings for both boys and girls lacrosse will be announced on Friday.
