Fortini, Rose Lead McCann Tech into Western Mass Final

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Evan Rose scored five goals, and Rylie Fortini made 19 saves to lead the McCann Tech boys lacrosse team to a 12-5 win over Monson on Tuesday in the Western Massachusetts Class C semi-finals.

 

The Hornets (11-5) earned a rematch with Lenox in the regional final to be played on Saturday afternoon at Berkshire Community College.

 

Jason Knapp had a hat trick and set up four goals.

 

Parker Hart scored twice, and Colby Marko and Nick Abuisi each had a goal in the win.

 

McCann Tech lost a pair of narrow decisions to the Millionaires in the regular season, falling by scores of 7-4 and 7-3.
