PALMER, Mass. -- Darian Tovani scored five goals to pass the 100-point mark for his career as the McCann Tech boys lacrosse team defeated Pathfinder, 15-6, on Monday.

Tovani went into the game with 97 points and left with 102 points, including 96 goals.

Colby Ghidotti matched Tovani's goal total on Monday and set up three goals to lead the way on the Hornets' offense.

"We controlled the game in this one and had an opportunity to get a lot of players into the game," McCann Tech coach Paul Lange said. "Unfortunately we also let them back into it and the score was 9-6 about halfway through the third quarter. If it wasn’t for Riley Fortini [15 saves] bailing out our team defense, we would have been behind. He played awesome."

McCann Tech (8-5) goes to Belchertown on Tuesday.
